‘Blue Nude’ date : 2008 size : 33½” x 23¼” medium : oil notes : Second in the series of semi-abstract nude paintings, this work sees Jones capture a fore-shortened figure in a subtle palette and bold lines. comment : “This is a side to my work which is very rarely seen; most of the nude paintings and studies that I did up to 2000, were actually destroyed (by me) in 2001, so that I could begin afresh.”
